Calling all animal lovers! Join local artist Lisa Matthias as she guides you through two sessions to create a beautiful drawn portrait of your pet (or if you don’t have a pet, one you’d like to draw!) Students will learn how to approach drawing a pet portrait, including a wide variety of fundamental and advanced drawing techniques in graphite. Students will capture those beautiful dog eyes, silky cat fur, delicate fish fins, or soft horse muzzles, with pencil and paper! Students should bring a reference image: an 8.5x11” print out (black and white) of a photo of their pet. Make sure the pet takes up a big part of the photo, because we will start with tracing the photo for an outline. All other drawing supplies and paper included.
